For my fellow horror fans, here are some suggestions of horror novels from the past couple of years.

Final Girls by Riley Sager
A slasher with a twist.
This one is for slasher movie fans, and has lots of references to famous movies.

So Thirsty by Rachel Harrison
A modern vampire story. I really like Rachel Harrison's style. I've read a bunch of her books. They focus on female characters.

The Eyes are the Best Part by Monika Kim
I haven't read this one yet but it looks really interesting. It's about a serial killer 'from a Korean American perspective".

Hazelthorn by C.G Drews
A strange fairytale like YA horror story. I really enjoyed it.

There are many more but that will do for now. Do you read horror? Do you have any recommendations or thoughts?

I don't normally read horror novels. One that does come to mind is Stephen King's "Pet Cemetery" which I read many, many years ago. I found it to be very scary at the time and thought it was a great read that I would definitely recommend to other people.

Fair enough. I'm really not a fan of Stephen King but lots of people like him.

I haven't actually read a real horror novel before except those vampires and werewolf novels which aren't even scary. There was one zombie novel i read some time back but unfortunately i can't even remember the name of the novel.

This one is a vampire novel that is scary:

Less serious ones like horror comedies can be fun too though.

These are some zombie novels I enjoyed:
Zone One by Colson Whitehead

Rot and Ruin by Jonathan Mayberry

Feed - Mira Grant

Warm Bodies - Isaac Marion. It's better than the movie.

Yeah, you said. Can you remember any other details about it (like what country it was set in, whether it was in the future, what the main character was like)? I might be able to figure out what it was.
