Have you ever watched a movie with someone who already watched it?

Postby Netherrealmer » 29 Apr 2018, 06:13

What an annoying experience. I avoided spoilers online so I can watch the movie and be surprised for the plot twists but I made the mistake of watching the movie with a friend who watched it before me. He kept on saying what will happen next before the scene shows up. He kept on making commentary on what is about to happen and which characters will die.

My other friends are there for that movie party so they will get excited while watching but all the excitement started dwindling because of a single person who kept on telling what is about to happen. That person watched the movie a night before we decided to have a movie party. What a traitorous troll.

That is not very nice.Usually I am the one who had already watched the movie.I do not spoil it for others.Though I know the ending, I enjoy the reactions from others who are watching for the first time.

My answer will be yes provided that the person does not spoil the show for me.

But there again why would anyone who already watched the show rewatch it with me?

Haha, yes I have although they were pretty good and did not tell me what was going to happen. They just kept saying "Ooh this is a good bit coming up!" which is a little annoying

I think that friend of mine just want free food because it's a movie party. I won't invite him again. He ruined everything for us.

I did this once but never got spoiled by the person I was with. Another time I was on the phone with a friend who had cable and I had a satellite dish and my feed was 15 seconds behind. And when something happened on the show we were watching, he said it and I saw it a few seconds later. :)

Yes I did but the person wanted to see that movie again because she was crazy about it, so it was not annoying at all. Just a matter of fact we saw more than 2 movies together, all recommended by her.

Yes, I have. In one of the movies my experience was similar to yours but when I am watching a movie with my husband and if he has already seen it, he usually just keep quiet and never reveals what is going to happen.

Next time just bring a gag ball and threatened to wear it on him if he dare to spoil the show for everyone.

Yes and its the worst experience ever because they end up spoiling the whole movie by telling you how bits going to be and you'll not end up enjoying or even not finish the movie.

Whenever I'm about to watch a movie with someone who has seen it already, they know the drill - they get a warning. There's nothing more annoying than having to watch a movie with someone who keeps telling me what's going to happen.

I’ve had this experience a lot of times with my boyfriend. And I’ve also been the friend who had watched the movie. But we both respect each other and know it’s common courtesy not to spoil it for the person who is watching it for the first time.

My brother watch movies repeatedly with me where I watch the movie first time but he watch don't know how many times.. But he never tells me what is going to happen in that movie. So I'm lucky in this case I think
But I can understand your situation.. If your friend is telling you what is going to happen next in the movie, then there is no point of watching it further.. It's better to listen the story from your friend :D
