Every trailer of this historical period drama is disliked in UK. The reason, they cast Jodie Turner Smith as Anne Boleyn.
Anne Boleyn is the mistress of King Henry VIII and the mother of Queen Elizabeth I.
People will be offended if Tom Cruise got cast as Martin Luther King or Scarlett Johansson gets cast as Rosa Parks. The director of this series think people will not get offended the other way around. The director of this show wanted to break conventions because most Historical period dramas set in England have all white actors.
Black people in the UK doesn't want this kind of representation. They want historical black people to represent them and not Anne Boleyn who is white. Every trailer of this show is drowning of dislikes. The director accuses people of being racist. There are so many historical Black people who will make great movies and most Black British people prefers them.

It is understandable that people dislike the series. Why doing this, black people don't need this, they should be represented by real historical black people, people that were heroes or make something important for the humanity.

Beautiful lady and the trailer makes her seem very talented too, but yeah, something doesn't look right. They could have easily made a fantasy series or use fictional characters if they didn't want to be historically accurate, but they "blackwashed" the mother of Queen Elisabeth I, what the heck.

Oh my! This post is dated June 2021 and this is my first time hearing anything about this series. I am not even familiar with this actress. I had to check Wikipedia.
I grew up in the generation where the "red skin" (supposedly Native American) was a blond. I thought that was ridiculous. But that was 1960 in the USA.
But it's 2021 and I can't believe this!! This is an even more ridiculous case of miscasting than the blond Indian in Peter Pan!!
It does not seem to have ruined her acting opportunities though. I noticed on Wikipedia she is getting parts in American movies and television.
