I think body stinking is not caused by lack of hygiene alone. It might be caused by other clinical reasons.

I don't know if it's true but:

I heard that Russell Crowe used to go out STINKING! On purpose. He didn't wnnt to be bothered with having to deal with fans. So he would puposely go out unkempt.

I also heard was that Clark Gable had halitosis, i.e bad breath! The actresses with whom he had an onscreen romance really had to work hard not to faint when they were close up or show any expression on their faces that indicated they might be holding their breath so they didn't have to smell his bad breath.
