Toddlers who grow up watching Teletubbies always start the episode of these mascots with the sun baby.


Netflix reboots Teletubbies and they cannot use the original Sunbaby anymore because she is adult now.


Netflix chose an Asian baby to be the new Sunbaby


Conservatives are having tantrums because they are angry that the sunbaby is now Asian and the show will have a black gay man as the narrator.

These people are attacking a baby. This is a show for babies and I dont think they will watch it and they are being racist now. Its a baby and she have no political agenda. She is a baby who got cast because she is cute.

The sun have no ethnicity, anyone can play the role of the sun. Oh The sun is also yellow.

The fact that adults have time to attack a baby on a kid's show... it really shows what the world is becoming... I can't imagine WHY anyone would have a legitimate reason to be upset about this.

Now it is called care for your kids. Since all parents how have Internet access everybody can comment on everything. Looks now they more talk about kids shows than actually care about their kids.

Why do people of colour in the media upset people so much?

Sure some studios push diversity into their shows by adding in some PoC here and there, but it's not as if they're replacing White people!

There are plenty of shows and movies that feature White people. A retelling of a story with a non-White person isn't going to make a big difference.

In cases like the Teletubby baby, the baby's race isn't important so the baby can be played by any race, especially if it's a reboot done by a different studio or company.
