Disney wants to have something bigger than MCU, So they purchased the rights of Dragonball Franchise.



The Last time Hollywood adapted Dragonball, There is a racist casting. They cast a white guy to play Goku and they made him into an American nerd who got bullied at highschool.


Goku is an Alien but he is suppose to look Asian because he must be able to pass as Grandpa Gohan's Grandson and he is based from the a Chinese legend Monkey king.


Goku never went to Highschool, He is an illiterate fun loving Himbo who is a Genius at Martial Arts. Disney promises to cast an Asian actor this time around.

I heard Disney wanted Ludi Lin to play Goku after his successful Mortal Kombat Movie, Also he was a former Power Ranger.



There is also a Campaign to Cast Filipino American Actor,Manny Jacinto because he have Martial Arts Background and he plays Himbo roles Good. He got a successful run in the Comedy show The Good Place and He is in the recent Top Gun movie.



There is also a campaign for the child star Forrest Wheeler because he is a Martial Artist and looks like a Young Jackie Chan. He is not as Muscular as Ludi and Manny but Goku's adventure started when he was a kid and not an adult.




Goku's adventure though started when he was like 10 years old. I prefer they pick a Harry Potter Route and cast a teen or child actor and let him grow on sequels.


I remember defenders of White Goku said that Goku should be white because his Super Saiyan form is blond and Asian people are not Blond.


They are wrong! Blond Asians exists!

There are communities of Blond Chinese in China and they are born with Blond hair and blue eyes.



Blond hair and Blue eyed people exist in Mongolia


Blond Gene is common in the Hmong population


Goku is based from A Chinese Legend hence he should be Asian.

So basically , Disney bought rights from Sheuishia/Shonen Jump and the author , to make the movies ?
If they do then I really hope they stick to the original story and not something else entirely

The fact they have adult actors on their mind is a mess already. Goku should be a little boy. They should do a Harry Potter/Stranger things Route and cast an Asian boy who will grow up playing the role.

They should took Ivan Rakitić (Sevilla and ex Barcelona player) for Goku actor. When Barcelona was in Japan, fans was excited see him since he is very similar to Goku with his blonde hair.

Um no, He is White and not Asian. Goku should be Asian because he is based from Chinese Legend Monkey King. The Last live action movie got ridiculed for casting a White Guy. No White Guy should attempt to play the role of The Asian Superman again.

Now that they are considering Asian actors is a good beginning but they cannot just go directly to Z and Skip dragonball. That's why I believe Goku should be played by a Child Star as his adventures started on his childhood. The Stranger Things kids are all adults now so that means kids grew up fast. Rather than going for established actors, go for an unknown.

Yes, disney should stick to the original storyline. The hero should be cast by Asian , preferably a Japanese who can speak english
