It is currently doing well in the box office. This proves Black people prefers original stories rather than racebended white characters. African countries have rich history, folklore,literature and culture that waits to be adapted into movies.

There is a controversy with this movie. Yes these Amazons are fierce warriors but they are also evil. They use to capture people and sell them for slavery. So it is awkward that this movie turned them into heroes.

I see this available for torrent download but I also saw Smile movie available so I decided to download Smile for my movie time this weekend... If I have time though I might give the Woman King a chance...

I prefer to. History happend and we can't change it. There is not use of putting black people in roles which didn't happend in history. Kids would be confused. One thing they see in movie, something else is learned at history class or in museums.

Black people can act well as the whites. Vuewers should not judge heroes as whites. Really unfair. Racism should stop in entertainment sectors

I agree but you can't put black people in roles if those roles are wrong with history fact. Black people can't act king from Europe 14th century if history say in that time black people were slaves.
