Are you a rocker?

Postby Shavkat » 21 Oct 2022, 10:51

Rock music gained popularity in the 1950s because it was straightforward, quick, enjoyable, and danceable. Drums and an electric guitar are used mostly to play it. Drums have had the same shape for thousands of years and are among the world's oldest musical instruments.

Are you fond of listening to rock music?

I use to be hardcore but I am post-genre now, which means I can listen to other genres if the quality is good. I still cannot stand Bubblegum pop and slutpop though.

I am a fan

Turisas

Lordi

Poppy

I also listen to folk music which is the origin of acoustic rock. I do not stuck myself in one genre anymore.

Funny that you should ask this question!

My taste in music goes from one to the other!

Last week, I listened to Adam Ant.

A few nights ago, I listened to Jason Aldean!

I'm not a rocker, I do enjoy all types of rock!

I like sandstone, chalk, and granite the most!

Jokes aside, I do like different types of rock but I wouldn't call myself a fan.

I prefer "robot" music. ;)

Well, since I grew up in the 50s and 60s, that was the music of my youth and of course I enjoyed it all.

However, over time I have vastly expanded my preferences. I have collected my own favorites over the years and have amassed a variety that includes music from around the 1600s to the late 1990s and at last count more than 30 unique genres and more than 100 countries.

My private play list can play non stop with no repeats for about 3 months even if played 24 hours a day. It goes way beyond the rock era. I never listen to radio or any subscription services. I play all my own favorites all the time. I only hear each tune maybe 2 to 3 times a year so I still enjoy the repeats as they come up.
