Mayim Bialik's "Call Me Kat" said Goodbye to Leslie Jordan in Exactly the Right Way (possibly inspired by MARVEL)

Postby friendociate » 13 Jan 2023, 18:16

Leslie Jordan--Phil on the sitcom--recently passed away. So Call Me Kat had an episode where Phil & his husband-to-be got married in Tahiti and--rather than return to 'the mainland' (I don't know---is Tahiti a separate country from America? )--they decided to stay in Tahiti <3

(It is kinda like how parents often tell their children that their dead pets "were sent to a farm upstate." It's basically just a way to tell the kids their pet is 'gone forever and happy' (like we all will be one day) )

It of course echoes 'the fate of Agent Coulson (in MARVEL'S THE AVENGERS ... except he died AND went to Tahiti (or was that T.A.H.I.T.I., at an undisclosed location?))Image

Maybe that'll be a euphemism for 'when a show loses a character because the actor who portrayed them passes away'---the show will have to have the character "move to Tahiti"; eh?

I don't think I've heard of the Call Me Kat show before. What is it about? Would you recommend it?
