The most popular show in Japan right now is Beastars, it's a romance anime for furries. You don't need to watch this anime to discuss this discussion. Critics had been praising this series.

All I want is your opinion, if this relationship will work.. I think this anime is a symbolism for Interracial relationship and racism.

The plot of the story is about a Wolf who fell in love with a rabbit who is his classmate at school.


We know he is a carnivore and we know she is typical food for carnivore animals. So the Wolf here tries to fight his instinct because he loves her. Their relationship may also be doomed to fail because the rabbit tends to sleep around different "men" because something traumatizing that happened in her past makes her addicted to sex. She use to do one night stands with multiple rabbits but now she decided to date a man outside her species.




They are classmates so no both of them are teens, He may look older because of his height.

If you think about though, Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy had been a couple since 1970's. Pigs dont eat frogs though.

At the end of the first season, the wolf is still a virgin because whenever she tries to seduce him, his instinct sees food. So nothing sexual happens even though she tried seducing him but he refuse because to protect her from his wolf instinct. He does love her and he doesn't care even if she is the girl at school with bad reputation.

Here he is protecting her from bullies because she is known as the school sl*t

That means it will work as long as they keep it platonic. He seems like he's willing to make a little compromise but miss rabbit seems to be thinking only of herself. Does she even know what he sees (food) when she does that? Does she know the struggle?

They can be romantic like a cuddle or a kiss but yeah he refuses sex because for some reason it awakens his carnivore instincts but he is willing to die for her. He killed a Lion who kidnapped her.

Fans feel bad for this wolf girl who have feelings for him but he friendzoned her.

I feel bad for her too! The friend-zone is the last place she'd want to be in. With all her feelings for him, can you imagine what it's like being friendzoned over food!

Well he is hungry because he survived a diet of bread, tofu and eggs for all the 17 years of his life. In this world carnivores are forced of a ovo-vegetarian diet with a side of bugs. They secretly go to the black market though to buy meats of herbivores who died in hospitals.

This is his first close encounter with meat.


Binged this show in Netflix in 1 day. The writing is good.

It is one of the best ANime I watched in years. Unlike Naruto,One piece and Pokemon that is too hard too watch due to thousands of episodes. This one is easier to watch because its only 12 episodes per season. Netflix funded this anime. I don't trust Netflix though because of their tendencies to cancel show. But Netflix confirmed it has season 2. It is well written, the fighting scenes are good but I do think the Wolf deserves better since the Rabbit sleeps around multiple men.

The rabbit is not even from an abusive family to be that skanky. She is skanky because she wants to live her life to the fullest because she thinks she may die anytime because she is a prey animal.

It's a symbolism of racism , classism and interracial relationships. I heard the writer is a Japanese woman dating a white guy. Its not really for kids since the rabbit is a sex addict.

One of the villains of the show is Melon, He is the son of a Leopard mother and a Gazelle father.... Well His mom ate his dad which turned Melon into a Psycho. It made the Wolf and Rabbit question if their relationship will work.

I usually don't fall in relationship but in any relationship there must be trust and love .
All the relationships will have flaws but both the members should work on it in the right manner an solve it out within the relationship and not take it out.

The rabbit is starting to question if her relationship is worth fighting for after her friend rabbit who is dating a Lion got accidentally hurt by her boyfriend during kissing.
