You're very right, can't put anything past the characters in that show. After all, Stewie has been involved in carjacking and forgery. Brian is a writer who speaks French, Tagalog, English, and a little Spanish. I guess it's just like how Spongebob (the sponge) can talk and do all these things.

This song is from the Spongebob broadway musical. It is canon to the storyline of the cartoon. It seemed like Pearl is a very neglected daughter and doesnt get love from her father. They dont have animal costumes because they dont want it to look creepy like Cats musical.

And these costumes aren't creepy? Well, the one the man is wearing especially the piece on his hands. Your description here of Pearl and Mr. Krabs' relationship reminds me somewhat of Peter and Meg (Family Guy). I don't know why Peter doesn't like Meg. Talk about neglect and bad treatment!
