Cousin characters are villainous or non entity to the life of main characters. Or if a cousin is close to a main character, their relationship is incestious. My relationship to some of my cousins are very sibling like but I do have cousins I cant stand. There are so many people who are very close to their cousins but Media portrays cousins as either enemies or someone incestious.


The upcoming MCU title, She-Hulk will finally give people portrayal of cousins who are very close but very platonic.I am so tired of incestious cousin portrayals in Media. Finally we have 2 cousins on screen who have sibling relationship.

MCU decided to make She-hulk debut in live action because Marvel doesn't own the solo movie rights for Hulk. It is owned by Warner Bros and we know Warner owns DC comics. Hulk is allowed to appear on Avengers because its not a solo movie.They don't want their rival Warner Broskis to make money.

Though She-Hulk is the main character, Her cousin will be the secondary lead. They want people who are close to their cousins to relate. She-Hulk is a lawyer named Jennifer, She got assassinated and her cousin Hulk donates his blood to save her but she ends up having his powers too. Unlike her cousin, She retains her intelligence but she is not as strong as Hulk. This One will be more comedic and focus on the banter between the cousins.




Finally we will see cousins on screen who are not enemies and not incestious. Speaking of cousin incest, My parents tried to arranged marry me to a cousin and I said no. I told them I don't want children with extra set of eyeballs. The family already have a history of bipolar disorder.


Marvel wanted to dedicate She-hulk to cousins who are close but not in an Alabama way. Are you close to your cousins?

I wasn't aware they were being portrayed as such. In my world cousins are like the other version of yourself who you get along with so well. They are like your brothers and sisters who have all the time in the world for you. Enemy cousin doesn't seem like the norm. And the incest? I guess in those settings things must be different.

Game of Thrones is guilty of all kinds of incest including cousins. Latin Soap operas always make cousins incestious or villainous. Especially the American produced ones by Telemundo. Anime also love making cousin characters incestious.

Superman and Supergirl are also famous fictional cousins but they are not as close due to age gap.

I have cousins and seen people with a lot of cousins. Yet never heard of incest among the folks I know.
I do not know why movies show this way.
As for enmity, yes, there have been cases of cousins who are a threat to someone's life and mainly due to Land or Property matters.

There are some Bollywood movies, especially those before 2010s that have a realistic portrayal of cousins, often on good terms. But may be trends could be changing now. And in many cases, storylines are not showing joint families or relationships at all.

She-Hulk finally have a full trailer. One thing that makes her different from other Superheroes, is that she is horny. So I don't know how the sex scenes will work if she is bigger than most guys and she is CGI.



Her cousin will try to train her to use her powers for Good but she will be using it to hook up with guys with giant fetish. Before she got her Hulk powers, she was female incel. I remember in the comics, Captain America fired her from the Avengers because she used the Avengers headquarters for her one night stands. I think the show will focus more on comedy.

Don't know a lot about She-Hulk, but Tatiana Maslany is one of my favorite actresses so I'm definitely going to be watching She-Hulk as soon as it airs! So excited to see her back on screen and perfect timing as well because I've been into Marvel shows and movies lately.

Oh yes, this is leaning comedy for sure and it's not the kind I want to laugh about. What Superhero behaviour is this? I stand with Captain America. Now if he could only turn his wrath upon Marvel. That Sir, would be Marvel..ous! You know they're getting out of hand. No watching She-Hulk around here because she won't be saving anybody, nobody. LOL.

Captain America is from the 1940s, Jennifer Walters is a modern woman who was insecure all her life, then suddenly she got sexual confidence like no other.

The Juggernaut incident kind of ruined her sex life though




I think in the show, Her cousin will convince her to be a Superhero and stop being a merry christmas laugh.

She also got scolded by a version of her from another dimension to stop sleeping around.


They might tone her down for TV though. The comedy of the show will focus on the banter between the cousins and her law career.
