This is Kamala Khan, She is MCU's first Pakistani descent Superhero. She is very popular in the comics because they can relate to her. She is a Superhero fangirl who collects comic books and writes fan fictions that became a superhero. Her powers is to stretch her limbs beyond normal humans can do and enlarge her first so she can punch or capture enemies easier.
Her fans were excited she will be adapted for live action. Then they got upset, They changed her powers into typical anime inspired energy blasts. Why? She is Muslim and Marvel is afraid hardcore Muslims will be offended that she touches her enemies if she grabs them or punch them.
So they change her powers into something where she doesn't need to touch her enemies. In other words, no more hand on hand combat .
Yes she is a Muslim but she is not that conservative. She doesn't wear hijab and her costume is a Burkini which is a Muslim swimwear. Indonesia and Turkey are Muslim countries and they allow actresses to punch and grapple villains in fight scenes.
Umm what is offensive about this?
She had interesting powers, now she will be boring because she will just shoot fireballs from her hands so she wont need to go near the villains. She is from New Jersey not Afghanistan.

😂 but it serves them right. Marvel I'm talking. They're too much and have taken on what they cannot handle. Leave religious folks alone. Where have you seen truly (hardcore) religious people being any part of this world? They probably won't even be watching this thing let alone to know whether she touches or not touches anybody. I don't think she got this far by means of the hardcore ones you mentioned so it probably wouldn't be an issue to let her powers be. Maybe it's their attempt at being 'inclusive' nevertheless! Leave it alone Marvel, leave it. @Netherrealmer says it's boring and he has a point. Who are you catering to, really?

Their latest excuse after the outrage is that her powers is not visually appealing and they want her powers to be similar to Captain Marvel... She got popular because her powers are weird. Now they made her generic fireball spamming character. The producers said they found her powers grotesque.

I think marvel is just trying to play things safe, others might be doing it and they would get away with it, but more eyes are on marvel because of the influence they have on the world, hence they do not want an issue that would affect the company.

"fireball spamming"
And what are they talking about? She's not Captain Marvel. That's why her powers aren't similar and it was how she got her fame. Must we have another Captain Marvel?

Hmm.. So another case of listening to Ultra-conservatives and well, I have seen and heard of such cases abounding across the whole world. Double standards too abound. There are Muslim nations which have a different interpretation than others, but fundamentalism seems to be more pronounced in South Asia than even what we see in UAE. Even Saudi Arabia is embracing a more Moderate outlook.

in the comics, she hugs her team mates and shakes their hands. She is obviously not that conservative. But yeah they don't want her touching people on live action, so no more stretchy arms. She will just have the same powers with Captain Marvel with a bit of green lantern.

Well, then they can show her using sub machine guns or pistols may be?

Hulk gave his best not to get Angry while she is being annoying inside the car. He managed to stay calm.
Their other excuse for changing her powers, She is too Similar to Mr. Fantastic and there is an upcoming Fantastic 4 movie. So they change her powers. I cant believe they will censor a character who don't need censoring.
She developed a father-daughter bond with Hulk.

Nope, they are making up stuff as they go. She's too similar to Mr. Fantastic so let's fix that by making her similar to Captain Marvel? Lately they seem to be giving out arguments that don't add up.

I do not know why muslims are enrage of her super power. This is just a comic, not a real person. As long as she does not use firearm or sword to kill the enemies, i think it is alright to use hands as self defence

They are not enraged. It's the comic maker (Marvel) who started to act like mind reader, lol. They didn't give anyone (except the fans) a chance to be enraged. Marvel modified Kamala Khan's powers based on assumption. That made the fans (not hardcore Muslims) upset.

This trailer lives up to the criticisms quite well. It's definitely lacking something - something Marvel. Hopefully the ones that follow will come with the Marvel excitement we all crave, lol.

Miss Marvel is highly anticipated in Pakistan because she is the first Pakistani descent Superhero. The Problem , Pakistan have no Disney Plus so they will release Miss Marvel Season 1 as a Theatrical release movie in Pakistan. They will cut Season 1 into 3 movies.

I think decent human beings should stop going hand in hand with highly oppressive practices engineered by monsters. Even when it is just an innocent thing like this.

I wonder if they will translate this in Live action....
Kamala will meet a Pakistani Super Hero named Red dagger and they will fall in love. They kissed in the comics.
Muslims are not allowed to date nor have a pre-marital kiss.
He will debut in live action
I think they will remove the kiss and make her just an innocent girl who just have crushes with boys but never pursues them so they wont have controversies in Muslim countries. Especially now that she is a hit in Pakistan.
