Anne Rice Passed away today

Postby Netherrealmer » 12 Dec 2021, 15:07

I follow Anne Rice on twitter because I was waiting for updates for the Television adaptation of Vampire Chronicles. Vampire Chronicles is a series of 13 books that changed the way people see Vampires. Before Anne Rice, Vampires on movies are Ugly monsters in horror movies. She is the one who made Vampires sexy. Her Vampires are cool and badass unlike those sparkling ones created by Stephenie Meyer.

Her son took over her twitter today to make this sad announcement

Two of the movies based from her books are

Interview with a Vampire.

This is the film were three of the biggest Hollywood lead actors of the 90s are on the same film. Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and Antonio Banderas are all on this movie. It also launched the career of then 11 year Kirsten Dunst who played a child Vampire.

Queen of the Damned.

It is the last film of Popstar Aaliyah before she died from a Plane crash. It is about the mother of all Vampires, An Egyptian Queen who started the vampirism on earth.

AMC was going to adapt all of Anne Rice's 13 books on tv in 2022. Its sad she never gets to see it. She is only 80 years old. I am hoping that some of my favorite authors will live longer. A lot of my favorite authors are now on their 60s.

Most people know Ms. Rice for her vampire novels. But I remember her for "The Feast of All Saints" which was adapted to film. It sheds light on a part of American history most people don't know about.

A lot of my favorite writers who makes franchises are on their 60s and 70s, I want them to live up to 100 because I want more books and comics from them. I want them to finish the franchise first before kicking the bucket.
