Stranger Things

Postby sweerie_banana » 05 Aug 2022, 07:03

This has been my movie of the week. I'm in season 4 and I love it so much.
It's an action and horror classic. Old but very nice.

Have you watched Stranger things? Who's your favorite character?
Which is your favorite season?

Well Stranger Things is a television series that I would have very much wanted to see, even if, just reading the plot, I did not understand very well how the plot unfolds.
This four-season series was distributed by Netflix starting from the first in 2016, until the last (4th) of this year.
For those who have seen it, I ask: is it something they really deserve?
Thank you.

It is a fun show because it brings you back in the 80s. It is horror and adventure that will give you 80s nostalgia. the actors who starred on it became big stars

I really liked the horror films of the 80s. Regarding the fantasy-horror television series that at that time were broadcast in Italy they were: Twilight zone, Poltergeist and Outer limits. I have always followed punctually very willingly.

I've watched the first three seasons and am currently watching season 4. It's an excellent show, really enjoyed every episode and would highly recommend it.

At first I didn't like series since kids were involved. Professional orientation affect on such things. After I watched two episodes I continue.
I will write later about latest season since I see people didn't finish it.

Yes I think Season 5 is the season finale.
I don't want it to end.

I love the kids in the movie, I think they act really well.

They have to end it because these kids want to graduate into movie stars. Their talent fees are way too high. also they are getting sick of the roles. They started the roles as children now they all turned 18. A lot of tv stars who are young want to be movie stars. Movie stars are seen as bigger stars than tv stars.

Gatten Matarrazo who plays Dustin just starred in his first romcom movie.

Finn Wolfhard who plays Mike is now the lead of the reboot of ghostbusters and it got a sequel, he rather commit to that.

Millie Bobbi Brown is getting a lot of movies and she is the face of the Godzilla franchise:

They want to graduate from kid roles and teen roles.

It would be to hard give them same role in series it is reason why season 5 is last season. Why? Read in spoiler.
[+] Spoiler
In last episode upside down world become public and you can anymore let kids run the game. Army will take over and only Eleven would have important role since she have superpowers. Everybody else would lost their roles or become irrelevant.

Bummer. I never thought that was the reason season 5 would be irrelevant.

Well, It's something that Iwould like to do. But in my home there is this problem: Netflix is installed on the TV in the living room, where my mother chooses the one to see every night. And she doesn't like this kind of series.
However, I might start seeing it this fall when it gets a little cooler, maybe in the afternoons.

Some people say this episode unnecessary in entire show. It is time when Eleven meet Eight and some other different people (just by behavior without powers).

I think it is actually good since everbody must explore others alone and see what world is offer.

I watched one season of Stranger Things. My review in a nutshell? Meh!

So when they continued this series I did not continue watching it.

If you couldn't hook me on the first season, you've lost me forever!

Dearest friend, Stranger Things would be a horror / fiction television series that would definitely satisfy my television tastes.
But as you can read in a previous post of mine, Netflix in my house is only enabled on the living room TV.
There, in the evening my mother and I watch television together, me and her. But my mother decides what to see and ... Stranger Things unfortunately for me, Is not absolutely a series of my mon's liking.
On the other hand, you need to know that she pays Netflix, so ...
