What Do You Think of all This Hoopla About Harry & Meghan

Postby cmoneyspinner » 08 Jan 2023, 01:40

I am an American. Even so, our news and social media tends to keep up with the British royals. They are just like celebrities so we like to talk about them.

I am having fun at watching how the United States news media is covering "news" about Harry and Meghan VERSUS the United Kingdom.

The USA has practically given Harry center stage so he can say whatever he wants.
While the UK is spewing their outrage against him for daring to walk away from the royal family FOR AN AMERICAN DIVORCEE.

Hmmm ... I don't know! That story sounds very familiar. Seems like there was another British royal who did that back in the day. Of course, that British royal did not receive $100 million from Netflix for a series or a $20 million book deal. That British royal was treated soooo badly. He actually had to go live in The Bahamas.

Anyway. Back on point. Are you keeping with the the Harry and Meghan saga?

I was keeping up in the beginning but quite frankly, I'm getting BORED!!

EXAMPLE: Here's a current news story published January 6, 2023
Prince Harry says he was bigoted before he met Meghan - BBC News
~ https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-64189396

OH PULL_LEEZE! Were there violins playing in the background during his interview??

For those who don't understand what I mean about the violins.
REF: humorous A hypothetical instrument that one claims to play in mock sympathy of someone thought to be complaining unnecessarily. Often accompanied by the gesture of rubbing the index finger and thumb together to "play" said violin.

I got six words of advice for Harry & Meghan.
GET OVER IT AND MOVE ON!!

Harry's memoir destroyed William and Kate, He said he wore the Nazi Halloween costume because he got bullied by William and Kate to do it. He also said WIlliam had been bullying him for years.

I have no doubt that Harry speaks from what he recalls as painful truth. But it's also the same stuff a lot of siblings go through. But when you're in the royal family, that kind of stuff gets put under a microscope and MAGNIFIED!!

I have to laugh. I woke up this morning and turned my TV on to watch "The View". I only watched it because Barbara Walters, the creator of this TV talk show recently passed away. I don't really like talk shows. I'm not being sexist but I especially don't like the talk shows with a bunch of women sitting there cackling and gabbing. "Cackling and gabbing"? That's what it sounds like to me. I have never watched a talk show with a bunch of men because most of the shows I know like that are just guys talking about sports.

But back to the "The View". I only stopped to watch out of respect for the memory of Barbara Walters. But what do you think those ladies were discussing? Harry and Meghan! UUUGGG!!! Quite frankly I disagreed with what they were saying so I tuned them out.

Harry's "problem" has a solution. I won't say it is an EASY solution. But there is a solution.

The solution: HE JUST NEEDS TO WALK WAY 100%. CUT OFF FROM THE ROYAL FAMILY 100%!

LOOK! He made his choice. He chose his wife and kids. He said he remembered his mother's advice. The late Princess Diana said: "If you to choose ... CHOOSE LOVE." So he did.

When I say LOOK! I mean LOOK!! He needs to look at his father. His father also chose LOVE!! He chose Camilla OVER HIS DEAD LAWFUL WIFE AND HIS KIDS!! Now that's the reality and he needs to just accept that. Leave his father with the witch! Leave his brother with his wife and kids and his royal title that he also covets like his father.

In this life, you can't choose the family you were born into. But if you are blessed, you can choose to start your own family and build your own wonderful happy home. EVERYBODY IN THIS WORLD - royalty or commoner - SHOULD AT LEAST BE BLESSED TO DO THAT!!

Harry says he wants his family back. DUDE!! Here's your reality check! That ain't gonna happen! They chose to be a part of the royalty machinery. He chose to cast off the shackles of the royalty machinery. Maybe he's wobbling because ... I know ... even though your family SUCKS ... they are still your family. Charles is still his father. William is still his brother.

He had a choice. His father and his brother OR his wife and his kids. He says he chose his wife and kids.

Really? If so ... don't waste your time trying to explain that decision because there was nothing WRONG with that. But also don't waste your time trying to maintain a "bridge" back to the palace. DUDE! BURN THE BRIDGE!! It's almost burnt down anyway! He doesn't need to apologize or explain choosing his wife and his kids. What he did is RIGHT!! The people on the "other side" ARE NEVER GOING TO APPROVE! They didn't approve when that other royal guy abdicated and they are not EVER going to approve what he did!

THAT'S THE WAY IT IS!!

As for attending his father's coronation? IN the last interview that I heard bits and pieces of, he would not answer. He says he doesn't know.

Here's my answer. DON'T GO!!!

WHY? Because it's an INSULT to the memory of his late mother. She should rightfully be the Queen Consort. Once again ... he needs to make a tough difficult decision. Life is full of tough decisions. It's not whether or not a decision is difficult to make. It's whether or not you make THE RIGHT DECISION!

In this life situation, Harry can not have it both ways. If he walked away in order to choose his wife and his kids, then he should just keep walking in that direction. That means? That means that since none of his family has chose to walk that same path HE HAS TO WALK IT BY HIMSELF!

If he ain't man enough to do that then ... Uuhhh? A psychic predicted that in 10 years he would be divorced from Meghan anyway! Well I can tell you that if he does get divorced ... it's likely because he couldn't cut clean from the "royal baggage".

Harry? Do you truly love your wife and family and your late mother and want to honor her memory? After all, Diana was screwed over royally by the royals too! Then that's the side you need to be on and do whatever it takes! Your daddy made his choice and he didn't make it FOR YOU! Your brother also made his and he didn't make it FOR YOU! Make your choice! Cause either the psychic either guessed it right OR predicted it wrong!

Sure! He grew up in the royal family. But he was still a little boy who had to grow up without a loving mother because of his selfish covetous adulterous father!! Hard words but truer words are never spoken when they should be. His wise grandmother did not agree with her son's actions, nor did she approve. She just accepted it. When her grandson made his decision, what else could she do but accept it? She was a queen. But even as a queen, she knew that when menfolk in her family are determined to go their own way, she can't lock them up in The Tower!

I'm hoping the psychic is wrong!

I am bored with all the chatter or hoopla about Harry and Meghan because ... to me ... nobody is out there is saying anything that's good sound wise advice. There are just people who are taking sides.

I totally believe that. Even before Meghan, there was talk about the nasty spiteful malicious stuff she used to do to Princess Diana. Camilla even tried to mess up Diana's wedding plans. That's what I heard somewhere. I don't know if it's true but I believe it! Camilla's like a BBH (back-biting heifer).

And she wonders why people do not want her as a Queen consort. William seem to be in good terms with Camilla but Harry is the one who rebels. I mean what even Meghan did to get all the hate from those Journalists. I think those Journalist are paid by Camilla.

I don't know why but for some reason I took a liking to Harry from when he was a baby. That's why I am really hoping he can get through all of this muck-raking! I don't have to worry about keeping up because I will see his name trending on Twitter when something happens!

You see! I knew I wasn't the only one who made the connection between Meghan and Me3gan.

Our US news - the entertainment news and the world news - are still reporting on Harry. Evidently his book "Spare" has sold over a million copies on the first day. They say that's major for a nonfiction book. I haven't read the book but I'm an Amazon Associate so I shared affiliate link via social media. Maybe I can earn commissions. I'm gonna ride the wave!

I ... I don't know about The Royal Family being racist (and Meghan---I don't know if you'd know she's black if she didn't say she was (or if you look at her family)).

And I don't think I ever watched SUITS. The only thing that ticked me off about her was when she attempted to legally trademark the word "Archetypes."

I mean!... she's welcome to practically trademark the word (the way popular songs 'trademark' phrases they use), but ... 'trademarking a word' is like if a musician 'trademarked a chord!'

Celebrities can be very annoying and downright full of themselves sometimes. I remember getting pissed at Jay-Z and Beyoncé because they wanted to stop a lady from using the name "Ivy Blue"! WHAT???!! Hello! The lady had that name first and if anything, she should sue them!! At any rate, the lady won her case and kept using her own name!

To be honest, I only know about Meghan because I was keeping up with Prince Harry. But the lines are clearly drawn for me. I'm on the side of the late Princess Diana. I have no doubt she was the "glue" that held those two boys together (Harry and William). Even if she did get divorced from Charles, had she still been alive, I can't help think that the news reports about her 2 sons would read very differently. <3

Good question and good point.
I know nobody from my country who follows this drama, local news media will usually say Harry's book sold many copies and that's pretty much it, so I guess we're closer to the US style.
Personally, I never cared and will never care.

When people say something negative about Queen Bey, everybody wants to jump all over them! But the reality is, there are a lot of things that she does that are NOT VERY NICE! But I don't care. I'll say it if it's the truth! Not only that, but if I don't like a particular song or how she sings, I'll say that too! So let me get this out ... I didn't even waste time listening to the Lemonade album. I respect that she worked hard to get where she is. Her hard work paid off! But I've never really been a fan. I just know about her because everybody talks about her.

I'm not really a Taylor Swift fan either! I respect her hard work as well and she showed grace when Kanye interrupted her award acceptance speech years ago. But as you can see she's still on top and Kanye is on his way down or out. I'm not a Kanye fan. I know he's talented but I didn't like him before he had his mental breakdown. Yeah I said it! NOT SORRY!

Actually, the US might care a little extra because we were originally a British colony (well, we were originally a nation of Aborigin--- American Native tribes; but I think the immigrant Americans gradually 'bought/inherited' (or mostly "stole") their land).

And our current government is modeled on theirs (and/or very nearly copies it)---the main difference being that OUR royalty isn't "guaranteed" by blood ... your parentage may 'get you in the door,' but you've got to perform well & consistently in order to STAY among 'the royalty' here!

@friendociate - As far as I know or can remember, the Kennedy family was the only American family people actually referred to as "royalty". Like they lived in "Camelot". I've heard those expressions.

I once watched a comedy movie where an American was brought back to England to be king. Evidently, when they went down the royal lineage looking for the next person to be seated on the throne, he was the next family member in line. (Yeah right. Like that would ever happen. ) I'm not curious about Harry & Meghan. But years from now I would like to know what becomes of their kids - Archie and Lilibet. Suppose "something happens" and Archie ends up being the one next in line for the throne. After having been brought up in America, would he be willing to go back to England? Suppose Kate's kids and Meghan's kids decided they like each other and have no problems getting along? After all, why should they be bothered by their parents' drama? I'm just curious because the future is so unpredictable.

It surprises me how often I'll learn that 'a big celebrity' (which is what the British Royals are to their subjects ... the actual government being Parliament) is actually 'the child of other media-professionals.'

I pressured Chat GPT to make a story where Diana Confronted Camilla, I ended with a horror story. It refuse to do it because it dont want to do defamation but after 10 minutes of convincing, the a.i gave in with a horror story.

SPOTIFY just dumped Meghan Markle. It was a $20 million contract. They said her show did not meet their expectations. In other words, it was boring and nobody was interested.

I could have told them that before they signed the contract. Harry and Meghan are going about everything all wrong. They should invest their money wisely, dump all that "royalty baggage", and live FREE!! How hard can it be to do that?

I know Harry still grieves the loss of his mother, but I think his mother would want him to move on.

As for his father and his brother, they made their choices and they're sticking to them. Harry made his choice and he needs to stick to it!

Meghan just needs to shut up! She doesn't really have anything to add. If her man loves her and takes care of their kids, she's got nothing to complain about.

I know they don't care what I think. But it's just that they seem to be making problems for themselves.

They should stay out of the spotlight, live quietly, and most importantly, protect their kids. The kids don't need the DRAMA!
