I saw
a post in a Facebook-group I don't know why I'm a member-of, linked to a blog that said, "5 minutes ago! Millions of people cried over the sudden death of “America’s Got Talent” Simon Cowell" (and the blog was essentially just 'this picture' stacked over & over & over above a video of someone "reporting" the
rumor)"
The word "Hoax" comes from a wordroot that means "Conjurer, Juggler, Cheat, Impostor" (or maybe directly from "Hocus-Pocus"---a perversion of the sacramental blessing
Hoc est corpus meum "This is my body," and a common name for a Juggler's Trick) - same wordroot as Hoaxed, Hoaxing, Hoaxes
