I Know Politics might not be "Pop Culture"; but Look Who's Running for Congress Now!

Postby friendociate » 10 Mar 2023, 21:55

It's the 'Boy who Met World' Ben Savage (star of sitcom BOY MEETS WORLD, brother of Fred Savage).

I learned about it from yesterday's GMA3: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW, and it's obviously all over the internet now.

Couldn't you just 'play a drinking game' with his "that's a great question"-responses?

And could you imagine him 'graduating' to President (maybe in 2028 or 2032)?

Or "the GUBERNATOR"
(I image-searched that word, and Schwarzenegger was somehow NOT in the top results! but I added the search-term "schwarzenegger" and ...

The word "Govern"
I thought "Gubernator" was a portmanteau of "Gubernatorial" & "TERMINATOR" (his iconic role as a assassination-machine from the future (that was re-programmed to save the target from its fellow assassination machines)), but 'gubernator' is actually the Latin for "a Governor."
[+] Spoiler
The word "Governor" is a word that means 'one who Governs, Rules, Directs, Controls," but its original use meant "Steersman, Pilot."

comes from a wordroot that means "to Guide, Steer or Pilot a Ship (same root as Cybernetics)"---along the same 'vine' as "Governed, Governing, Governable, Governance, Government, Misgovern, Ungoverned."

Actress Ashley Judd is a politician too. If you think Actors in politics are weird, Well Reality show contestants managed to get political positions. Particularly Survivor contestants.
