Margot Robbie quit being Harley because she was almost cast as Jack Sparrow and she also got cast as Barbie. Barbie looks like the next big franchise movie, so she dumped Harley for Barbie. Now Lady Gaga is the New Harley. Though she doesn't match Harley's aesthetics, but Gaga is a real New Yorker like Harley. So she have the right accent while Robbie is Australian and have to fake a Brooklyn accent.

This does look really good. I never honestly thought of Lady Gaga as being Harley Quinn if I am honest but it works. The images I have seen so far of her in character look amazing and she really does fit the part well so far.

I am eager to see her in the movie, seeing how she is acting the part as well. I mean, it's Lady Gaga, I do not see her messing this one up, Harley Quinn is a perfect part for her.

How make up can make difference. In interwies she looks much different than Margot but in movie at first and from longer distance I would say it is same actor.

Gaga had the advantage of being an actual New Yorker who is familiar with Brooklyn accent. Robbie is an Australian pretending to have Brooklyn accent.

It makes sense to have a different actor play Harley in the sequel to The Joker, because it's a very different film from the Suicide Squad movies and Birds of Prey.

That being said, I think Margot does a pretty good American accent. A lot of people didn't know she was Australian.
