The game show Jeopardy! first aired in 1964. I have a vague memory of watching it on television. But I also have a memory of my mom buying the Jeopardy! board game, so I could play with my brothers and sister.
I ALWAYS LOST!! That's a tough game. But it was OK because at least I wasn't losing on TV and embarrassing myself before a national audience.
This week they have been showing the Jeopardy Masters tournament. I had some time to watch it last night. Talk about pain. One guy doubled his winnings by getting the Daily Double Jeopardy question right WHILE the other guy lost it all by not answering the Final Jeopardy question right. OUCH!
Anyway! My question is: If you were accepted as a Jeopardy contestant, do you think you'd WIN?
Me? NO WAY! Not unless the other contestants were dumber than I am.

Watching TV and playing on TV is a different experience. Once you are on stage you will have a brain fart so bad you will forgive your parents name. So I do not ridicule people with wrong answers in game shows because being on the comfort of our couch is different from being in front of camera.

For sure! It's the reason I won't apply to be a contestant. If I'm on TV, I'll bet they choose categories I have no knowledge of.
Lots of times when the host states the categories, there are usually about two categories where I could probably get the answers right. But for the other categories, I would have to guess! Knowing me, I would be so nervous and scared, I would guess wrong even when I know the right answer.
