I feel hurt right in the Childhood when I found out Akira Toriyama is dead. He is known for his works like Dragon Ball,Dragon Quest,Chrono trigger,Blue Dragon and Dr. Slump. He is one of the most influential names in the word of Manga and Anime, He was still an active writer when he died. I'm sad he died without getting to see a live action Dragon Ball movie he will be proud of,

His characters model many childhoods and finding out he died is painful. Its as painful as Stan Lee's death. His kids will inherit his money but his characters will go to this Apprentice Toyotaro because his kids are not interested on writing. Now Toyotaro will have all the creative liberties to Goku.

Yeah, I heard that. It's sad. Wasn't he only in his sixties?

I thought he will live longer since he is from Japan. GOKU's voice actress in Japan is a granny on her 80s.

Akira Toriyama's impact on the world of storytelling and entertainment is immeasurable, and his characters will continue to live on through his works. It's unfortunate, he passed away before seeing a live action Dragon Ball movie. Let's cherish the moments he has given us, and continue to appreciate his works. May he rest in peace.

There is a vigil of him in Argentina and Europe. He is that influential. Holywood Celebrities, MMA fighters and Movid directors mourning him says a lot.

I did not know anything about the man. But my kids know all about his work. I recognized all the images you shared because of my kids. Ah well! For what he left behind, he will surely be remembered. <3

I used to watch Dragon Ball in my teenager years, this is sad as he surely still had a lot to give to the animation. The series and the characters he created will perpetuate his legacy.

While it's natural to mourn the loss of someone whose work has meant so much to you, it's also important to remember and celebrate the joy and inspiration that Toriyama's creations have brought into the world. His influence can be seen not only in manga and anime but also in various other forms of entertainment and pop culture.

I am familiar with Dragon Ball and Dragon Quest but I was not aware of the man behind these works. By the way, I am not much into Anime and Manga

He wrote most of the martial arts, characterisation and power structure of Dragon Ball. Replacing him would seem to be very difficult moving forward.
