Disney Just released the Trailer of Snow White and the comment section is super toxic. I have an app that allows me to see dislike the button and the dislikes are overwhelming. Fans of the 1940s cartoon are polarized they cast a Browned Skinned Latina Rachel Zegler who make it worst by saying a lot of feminist statements, alienating republicans.
Also people think she is a miscast not only because of her skin color because the character Snow white is suppose to be white as snow but they cast a brown girl. They also think she is a miscast because she is suppose to be prettier than the evil Queen. The Evil Queen is jealous of Snow White because Snow White is prettier ,younger and whiter. Well Gal Gadot who is known for playing Wonder Woman plays the evil Queen is prettier than the actress playing Snow White. So their solution is the Queen is not insecure of her beauty anymore but of Snow White's leadership skills.
There is also a controversy when they only cast one little person the Dwarves and the rest are average size and tall instead of actual little people. They try to band aid the Stab wound by turning the Dwarves into CGI.

My only knowledge about this movie is what you've posted on forumcoin. But I watched the trailer, and it's not as bad as I was expecting. Definitely disappointed with the CGI, and other than that, it seems like your normal live-action Disney movie. I don't expect the movie to be outstanding, but I don't think it'll be any worse than the other live actions.

Insane the trailer when it was released . The hate online seems unreal and especially the fact that Gal godot looks more beautiful. But this is a Disney property so it's definitely making bank no matter how mad it is

I still do not quite understand why Republicans are anti-feminist. This stance does not augur well with the reality of our modern 21st century society. I think I will have to investigate whether Republicans are related to the Puritans of the founding days of the American nation.

And it's the Republicans who freed people from slavery and gave women the right to vote. Now a days, people are trying to break stereotypes and come forward with some progressive thoughts and stories. I have not heard about this movie. I will have to check. But any princess can have a different presentation depending on the culture she comes from.

I find it astounding that people are expressing racist remarks regarding the appearance of the Snow White character in Disney's Trailer of Snow White. In my view, 21st century people should be sufficiently civilized so as to resist the primal urge to engage in racism.

I also have the extension to see the "I don't like" there are times when people are right with their criticism but there are times when they are not and from what I see today they simply criticize for the sake of criticizing without further ado, it seems that it is fashionable to be critic, what a bummer

People talk about an inclusive society, they talk about the social evils like racism, body shaming, stereotyping. But somewhere, traditionally everyone has some bit of bent of traditional prejudiced thoughts. So, the critics who would otherwise parade for inclusion at other platforms too have to take it with a pinch of salt.

People are offended because the character's name is Snow White and she is not white as snow. You can race swap Cinderella since her skin color is not her selling point but Snow White is suppose to be White.

Yes, that is a contradiction. They could have changed the storyline and have a name for the princess that didn't describe her skin colour. The story could have gone a neutral way based on the story of Snow White.
