Wuthering Heights is a love story between a 17 year old rich girl fell in love with an older orphan named Heathcliff her dad adopted but she will be arranged married to a man she dont love. Margot Robbie who is 34 years old will play the role of the 17 year old Catherine. Heathcliff is 3 years older than her.

The Role seems to fit more with an actress on her early 20s.

Here is Margot Robbie as a 17 year old.


To be fair teenagers from the past generations looks older. The setting is 1801-1802.
Let's just hope they've got some serious de-aging tech on standby, or we're gonna need a support group for Heathcliff, who's probably just trying to figure out if he's crushing on a teenager or her cool aunt.

That's a big age gap, it must be challenging for an actor to play someone half their age. It will be interesting to see how she looks in the movie. I loved the book when I was in school, but don't think I've ever seen a movie version of it.

Yeah, that's not the best fit. It's kind of old school- you used to see adults in their late 20s or even 20s playing teens all the time (like on Beverley Hills 90210) but there seems to be less of it these days.

He actually looks like a guy I went to high school with, except for the hair.

With today's technology and make up artists' skills, I don't think this may look out of place. Just that the actress has to feel 17 from within to do justice to the role may be the real challenge. I hope the audience accept her struggle and choice of the role.

She produced the movie so she can cast herself. Teen Heartrob Jacob Elordi who still play highschool roles will be her love interest.

From the on-set pictures, she does seem old for the character. Wonder how post- production work will help on that aspect.
