He was called the 'Prince of Darkness' and was the lead singer of Black Sabbath, and once allegedly bit the head off a bat onstage.

For myself I never watched the TV show but I did listen to some Black Sabbath in my misspent youth.

That's sad news, sympathy to his friends and family, may he rest in peace. I wasn't familiar with his work, aothough I have been familiar with his name for decades. I will give some of his music a listen now.

I mostly remember him from his reality show since cable channels had syndicated. They look like a dysfunctional happy but they are happy together.

I used to watch their show often. Their family seemed like an oddball but they had their own unique joy. They would laugh, argue and make up with each other like a normal family. That made many people feel close to them even though they were celebrities.

Ozzy showed us that even famous people have normal lives. He had flaws but he still stood up as a family man.
