They do? I never heard of that.

When did it start? During the Biden admin, he allowed Haitian refugees to settle in Ohio. That's when that rumor started about them eating the dogs.

I could not make any sense of that. My niece is Gen Alpha but thank God, we understand her well. She is 10 and the house rule says no phone till 13. And I don't see her missing anything. She is smart and having a good blessed childhood far from gadgets.

Hahaha I "understand" most of it, but honestly there's not a lot of meaning behind it to understand, most of this slang comes from random references from things on the internet that have gone viral amongst young people. So it's less slang and more just popular references to memes and jokes. I have to explain a lot of these to my mother. Even if it sounds mean or rude, there's usually no actual malice behind the words, it's all said as a dumb joke.

Bro, parents were confused to see Dora talking like Gen Alpha—slang, attitude, and TikTok vibes. They said Dora is no longer a role model, but a local cartoon. The world changes, but parents' nostalgia doesn't change easily.

Since there is much more types of languages present, even per generation, we definitely need some universal translator like in Star Trek.

The younger generation has a different perspective, but homework is a school of life. How you endured soap and cold water is a testament to your strength. Technology is an aid, not a substitute for morality. Continue to be an example of patience and wisdom.

Gen Alpha language is unique and very modern! Words like “capping” mean to lie or embellish a story. Although it may be difficult to understand at first, it is a great opportunity to learn new communication styles. If we embrace these changes, we can better communicate with the new generation.

I just realized if Cryonics is real, and let's say I will be put in suspended animation for 50 years, and once I defrost, there is a chance that I will never understand what the generation of those people are talking about. Because seriously, 10 years ago savage is an insult, now it's a cool thing.
