Most World War 2 movies have the Japanese as villains but civilians are not evil and this shows a Japanese civilian perspective. There are innocent Japanese people too. On this movie you will see the experience of a teenage boy and his 3 year old sister after the Americans nuked Japan.

The movie had been Uploaded in Youtube for years and Studio Ghibli don't care to make a copyright strike since the company is already disbanded.

Oh the anime version is gone in Youtube because its bought by Netflix, At least live action is still on Youtube

Reality can be hard to accept but well, showing that is also important.

I am not sure I want to watch this Grave of fireflies movie. Coz I am emotional and could end up weeping uncontrollably.
