Kung fu nuns show off martial art skills at monastery reopening in Nepal

I've been to Nepal, but had not heard of these Kung Fu nuns. This Tibetan Buddhist nunnery trains it's members in Kung Fu, to improve their confidence, physical well being and to promote gender equality.

Oh wow, how cool! I often look at nuns and think they are too serious. I'm glad to see norms are changing, and this initiative is brilliant, not least because they also have something fun to do on their 'down time'... if they even have it.

I was expecting Catholic nuns and not female Buddhist monks.

The name sounds like those Chinese comedy movies, anyways i think it sounds cool and it will help people be able to discipline themselves.
