We humans became sentient because we have ancestors who develop skills on how to cook food. Cooking meat and veggies made us evolve to me be smarter.

Yes, cooking also contributed to social bonding and the development of communication and culture, as it would have encouraged people to gather around a fire, share food, and collaborate.

Over decades, more and more discoveries have increased our knowledge about human evolution.
Still, there is a long road ahead !

I am not sure about that. Like kids who are green to undestand some things in early age, cognitive development allow progress and with years they understand it. Same is with evolution. Just it last for millions of years.
