Just polished off a dumpster diver special. A local merchant is very prompt to toss out expired food and their dumpster is a veritable grocery store. Unopened and undamaged cans of just about everything that only has expiration dates within the last week show up all the time. All still perfectly fine to consume. They just can't sell it after the printed label says it has expired.

I can enjoy a much wider range of choices by picking out the very latest compared to shopping from the shelves with limited funds.

Last night for dinner my wife made what she calls Hawiian Haystacks, a bed of steamed white rice smothered in leftover chicken chopped up in gravy and topped with chopped veggies like green peppers, tomatoes, green onions, pineapple, celery and those Chinese crunchy noodles. It's a favorite of ours whenever we have leftover chicken.

The last time i ate was yesterday afternoon and what i had was curry rice and some eggs. I have not eaten today

Sausage in tomat sauce with pasta. I ate to much again. I must learn control myself.

For lunch, yesterday, I prepared penne. Total yuck, but a roommate's favorite.

She always prefers Ragu. Total yuck, but her favorite.

I drank the dish down with an iced mocha. grrrr
