Re: Answer with a question game

I listen to many different styles of music like pop/hard rock/heavy metal/blues/alternative and I love a good mystery. Maybe they have eclectic tastes like I do. What if the mystery was in the form of an anime and the sleuth was a rap star? Would they watch it then?

Not often but aren't horror stories more exciting?

My odd interests are Korean historical period dramas and Bollywood movies.

Yes I'm an African-American. Is there a law that says I can't enjoy this kind of entertainment?

(When I was a kid they hardly had any Asian programs on television! Thank goodness Bruce Lee introduced US to kung fu and martial arts. Thank goodness the video rental stores had a foreign movies section. Thank goodness these days there are sites that grant access to free online streaming of movies and TV series from other countries. )

I never read romance novels. Aren't they just too unrealistic and give us a false sense of romance?

Yes horror stories are more exciting. Who doesn't love Edgar Allen Poe especially Vincent Price's renditions of Poe's stories and poems?

Odd interest of mine: reading mysteries or horror and ancient history or biographies. I think romance is the only thing I won't read. I love to learn about anything and everything. :D

* * Is there anyone here who is a member of a book club?
(A group actually gets together, decides what to read, gets together again and discusses what they read. Some people meet physically. Some people get together online.)

I have never belonged to a book club. Wouldn't it be fun to have one here at FC?

I think we could have some really good discussions here!!

Do you usually volunteer to spearhead projects or do you usually get drafted because nobody else wants to take on the responsibility?

(For me? I'm totally OK with NOT being in charge. That's why I never run for president! )

Usually because no one else wants to do it. lol Being in charge is too much stress with little to show for it.

What if no one is in charge? How would everything be then?

* * Do you think humans always feel they need someone to be the leader OR can groups of humans live in a society where there is no designated leader and be perfectly content?

I think humans always feel they need someone to be leader because if no one is leader than society becomes unorganized
Why do people like using social media rather than talking to friends face to face?

I agree with you on that purple.
I also wanted to know why do people like using social media rather than talking to a friend face to face.

Actually I like both social media and talking face to face. Thanks to social media I can talk to people all around the world in countries that I will likely never visit and they will likely never visit my country either. I've even talked to a lady right here in Austin, Texas and have not met her face to face. But I consider her a real friend. <3

How many of us have had great interactions with people from different countries ONLY because they were able to talk to them via social media? <3

I like the anonymity of not talking face to face. I feel like I care less if people know the real me. Plus sometimes, I can write what I want to say better than I can say it out loud. I am a very introverted person but online I am a little more open to meeting new people and "talking" to them. I have had lots of great interactions from people in other countries and my own just here on FC.

How did we survive without social media all this time??? LOL

* * "I am a writer I think because I'm not much of a talker." A well known female author said something like that and even though she was talking about herself, I felt like the mirror was being pointed at me. :)

Another friend who I did not know was partially deaf, said the Internet and social media opened up her world because it equalized her with the other writers. She was partially deaf. Who knew? :)

So my question is: Do you think tea in China is really expensive?

Wow!!! Uh oh the train derailed!!! What an unexpected question after reading the rest of your post. You're killing me.

Why get it from China when we can just go to the grocery store to get some? It would save the shipping and handling. Of course, if you're already in China that's a whole other story. But since I've never been I don't know how expensive it is.

Unless of course, you were asking if buying tea in China cups is expensive then probably. China dishes are expensive.
