Anyone playing with Bitcoin here? I remember a few people on ForumCoin told me that they will be buying Bitcoin if it reach ~100 USD. It reached 160 USD few weeks back. Have they bought? If they bought, they would have double their money. Currently, Bitcoin is priced at 335.3 USD - preev.com.

Seems to have come back down to $235.2. Way too volatile to be useful for businesses. I might consider switching out our btc payments option for something more stable.

I tried to create a crawler using PHP. I can't seem to use the right code. What language are your server crawling with?

Yes it is my own, just a little side project. It just runs a script but I did the server setup myself, which I don't often do. It's on a 16GB Ram, 2x3TB HDD, Intel CPU (~8500Passmark) server. I am really interested in seeing what the total index size will be and how it will handle some traffic. I have a really nice domain for it too.

It's a script that I didn't write but yes it's php. The difficulty in creating something like this from scratch is the parsing of different documents/ files into a readable index, ranking the sites and keeping everything fast.

Where did you get the script? I used some open-source script on the internet and modified them. I tried crawling 'normal' site, it work - it give the meta tags, description etc! However, when crawling (unique?) website like Facebook and Twitter, it dont give me the meta tags, description..
