Side hustles are surely the only way a lot of people has to pay their bills by the end of the month. In my country the supermarket bill increase almost 50% since 2020, most families have difficulties to pay even supermarket bills. Unfortunatley many don't have side hustles to help them and even those who have it sometimes it isn't enough.

Yea, the small bills that can be covered by $5, $10 or even $20. Side hustles can covers that up easily.

Necessary to survive is a pretty strong statement and I know many families that do quite well on side hustles furnished free by our government, like Social Security. Of course a little extra each month can't help make it better.

Part-time work can be very helpful, especially when the cost of living is rising. Even a small amount each month can help ease the burden of bills or help you save. I personally used to sell things online and it helped me pay for my child's school fees. It wasn't easy but it was a huge help.

The key is to know your situation and your capabilities. If you can do part-time work without compromising your health or family, then it's a smart move. But it's not necessary for everyone. Everyone has their own way of coping with life.
