Digital insurer "Acko" has initiated a workforce realignment, impacting approximately 60 employees, or 5% of its staff.
Unlike typical layoffs aimed at slashing burn rates, the firm characterizes this as a "structural realignment" driven by the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into internal workflows.
The move reflects a broader shift toward automated processes as the company prepares for a potential $300-400 million IPO in FY27.
The restructuring is distributed across the 1,200-member workforce rather than targeting specific departments.
By optimizing its operational model now, Acko aims to present a leaner, tech-forward narrative to public market investors.
