Has Apple followed Blackberry's Moves?

Postby Happyland » 25 Aug 2015, 06:23

I have followed Blackberry and Apple. Blackberry and Apple are two good companies. They are innovators that have led us into a bold new way of communicating and conducting commerce. It just seems like one has followed the other; like the game "follow the leader".

For example Blackberry had a popular mobile device with, as some of you might remember, the famous physical keyboard. Then some time after Apple came up with the first version of its wildly successful iphone. It took everything that Blackberry had and made it better. This knocked Blackberry off of its perch. Blackberry has experienced a dramatic decline in sales of its phones. But they were first.

As a second example Blackberry has an Enterprise Mobility Management business (EMM) which helps companies manage mobile devices, wireless networks and related services. Apple has teamed up with IBM to provide those same EMM services. Again Blackberry was first. One key aspect of all of this is Apple knows how to make improvements to technology to stay relevant and fresh in a competitive landscape.

That's the name of the game stay relevant by innovating. Keep your competition within your radar. That is not how I will play my game though. It wouldn't make me happy knowing someone got trampled on just so I achieve my goals. Just my own opinion I didn't intend to be so imposing.

I didn't know that apple had a phone that has a physical keyboard. I also didn't know that blackberry started it all. I thought that Motorola started the physical keyboard. I don't think that apple copied blackberry. Maybe they innovated and added some features from different cellphone manufacturers.
