Re: Shop Like A Billionaire?

Postby cmoneyspinner » 05 Nov 2024, 22:55

The late Michael Jackson would go out to shop and he would often wear a disguise.

But one time he allowed cameras to follow him around when he went shopping. It was for home decorations. He went through the store pointing at items, and his assistant was behind him writing it down. After he was done, he left the store and the assistant handled the rest of the purchasing transactions.

What got me was that he was pointing at stuff like a Chinese vase that cost $80,000, a painting for $100,000, etc. He pointed and said "I want that. I want that." The joys of being a billionaire.

Probably this was something that must have made him feel good and we all have different ways to feel good, I although prefer to buy online but for paintings etc we need to check these offline

Temu is not popular over here so I am yet to shop from them. I don't think I will though.

If the "Billionaire" tagline is theirs, I think that could disappoint many folks who would have too high expectations from them.

At the moment they don't deliver to India. Yea, the tagline is theirs but I doubt many folks take that piece literally. 😉

There was a warning from Choice here in Australia about toys sold on Temu being unsafe. Many contained button batteries that could be easily accessed by children. If young children swallow button batteries they can cause serious injury or even death so there are very strict laws about them in Australia.

That's probably how they make a profit. I was wondering about that for a minute but I'm sure they'd have to be benefitting from it somehow to be doing this on such a large scale.
