Fair enough. I've always just bought the whitegoods (that's what they're called here, because it's so common for them to be white) that were the best value and suited my needs at the time, so usually there isn't a choice of colours, but I would probably choose another colour if it's an option.
My current fridge is is stainless steel on the outside, which is easy to clean (I just wipe it over now and then with some WD40). My washing machine and dryer are white though. I don't really mind if they get discoloured because they're in a room where nobody sees them much.
