Free self care app

Postby Jem Smith » 04 Apr 2026, 08:01

Finch is a cute self care app that helps you remember daily self care tasks like exercise etc. by taking care of a cute little bird (so sort of like a Tamagotchi). There is a paid premium version but the free version is pretty good imo. I have no affiliation with the company, I just thought some people on here might like it as much as I did.

That's interesting, thanks for sharing it with us Jem Smith. Can you please tell us a little about how you benefited from using it?

It encourages me to make an effort to do things that make me happy, as well as basic stuff like drinking more water. I have a smart watch linked to my phone and it's nice seeing little supportive messages pop up through the day from the app.

Why say this Flinch app is free, and then say there is a subscription option?!

I said "There is a paid premium version but the free version is pretty good imo"

There is a free version. You can also pay for premium if you want to. That's a pretty common business model, same as Spotify has, for example. With Finch you don't get much extra if you pay for it. I think it's more just for people who want to support the app by kicking in some money.

Also it's 'Finch', not 'Flinch'. Finch as in the theme is little birds.
