Best way to prevent viruses is not to plugin usb flash drives from friends to your pc
and try to scan online the apps before you downlad them because some time they may be viruses.

I recommend two or three products malwarebytes, superantispyware and ccleaner. run ccleaner but don't use the registry features don't mess with it. ccleaner also can help you uninstall programs. superantispyware catches cookies that ccleaner doesn't sometimes. and malwarebytes is self explanatory its the standard. also honorable mention goes to adwcleaner and eset online scanner. the problem with eset is you need a couple of hours to run it lol

Since I changed to Chrome browser I seem to be virus free and I'm really careful not to download anything I'm not sure of. I use AVG free edition and I run Malwarebytes on a regular basis along with Superantispyware. I also found a really helpful little programme called Glary Utilities which helps clean up my computer.

I used to use IE but my computer got so infected that I couldn't even switch it on. I prefer Chrome as it is faster and more secure.

I always use a free anti virus online like bitdefender or trend micro to check if my pc has virus. It is a safe way and a plus.

You should go for the obvious and the main way.Format the computer and you could eliminate the virus 100%.All you could try to repair affected partitions by selecting them and formatting them individually. You can also install or update your existing anti-virus as this could work also for you.

I will be clicking on the links because my friends has sent, but I am also cautious that I never want to click on the links of spamming or hacking type links which are pasted in the facebook usually.
