Do You Add Total Stranger As Friend On FaceBook?

Postby IcyFirefly » 09 Apr 2016, 10:42

I receive a friend request on Facebook last night, and upon checked it out this person's profile, I was hesitated to add him. I don't know this person from anywhere, and I don't understand the language that was posted on Facebook.

Not sure, but I am kind of a picky person when it comes to add a total stranger to my account! What about you? What is your view on this subject? Would you add a person you don't know?

I too get a lot of invites from total strangers, which I find very weird. I usually check out their profiles, and if they have no profile picture and we have no friends in common, I decline. If I don't know them and we have friends in common, I may accept but restrict their access to my account.

I get those sometimes. I never accept anyone I can't understand.I get that a lot on twitter as well. I have more followers on twitter than I follow. I just accept someone who has the same hobbies or interests as me.be safe out there. it is a jungle.

Generally I only accept friend requests on Facebook from people that I know personally and have met in real life. Facebook is a personal network, unlike LinkedIn which is much more of a business network. For that reason, I do accept connection requests from strangers on LinkedIn, but not Facebook.

Personally I only accept people I know personally and people that I actually see and speak to in real life on a regular basis or people that I used to get on really well with although now can't for various reasons such as living abroad etc. I am not someone who adds every single person I meet in real life. Only people I truly get on with.

Usually I only accept people that I know in real life, when I played farmville I accepted some (5) strangers that play the game, but they were always correct with me. Nowadays I only use facebook for minutes and just to see if there is something new with family and friends.

I have two Facebook accounts, one for personal friends and family (no strangers or even online friends) and another one for business promotion where I take almost anyone who asks.

No, as my Facebook is a personal account, so I don't add any person that I don't really know well personally. Sometimes I wonder why some people will request to be friends even when we have no mutual friend at all or totally have nothing in common.

I do not add strangers as friends on Facebook. I do not trust people that request strangers as friends. I do not understand why people do this. I worked with a girl who thought that she had to have as many "friends" on Facebook as she could get. Most of the people on her list were people who did not even know her. I think sometimes people think Facebook is a dating site. I only use it to keep up with family who live in different areas.

I don't add strangers on Facebook. Heck, I don't even add people I know on Facebook... I only add those who I know and actually talk to... Strangers would be a big no-no for me. I don't want people I don't know looking at my stuff.

I have no problem adding anybody on my international account, I don't even visit my private account. Still, if somebody is an idiot I block him/her. In the case somebody want's to play games, and I am in the mood ( which is once in a million years, so he has to be really lucky) I make him a prop.

I have 391 friends to be exact and I have some kind of personal interaction with them on one site or the other or we are common friends on other sites. Few of them are admins of different sites I work for and some of them are my coworkers but none of them is total stranger and I have no relative in my list of friends. My close friends are on either whatsapp or skype.

Right now I have more than 3,000 friends on the Facebook. All of them are being checked, verified from their profile and their data and also the common friends we have had.

I have only 276 to be exact and I am on Facebook for probably as long as you have! At first, I created the Facebook account because all the sites that I worked with encouraging us to have one. So many people on my friend list are those from the writing sites. Then, family members started to catch on, which I should have a separate account, but didn't think about it.

Now, family members and writing friends are mixed up in one account, but I am careful about adding people, so my numbers stood still for years.

I don't mind strangers looking at my stuff, I just don't want them sticking their stuff up in my face.

Me too, I don't mind because I only write there what I want and I only post pictures that I want and never of my children, even though I don't accept strangers anymore.

Absolutely not.

Unless I know the person he/she does not get added.
