Its not a funny thing to lose your email address especially if you had invested alot in it like signing up of accounts. I lost my first email address and it seems an uphill task to recover it. I had signed up with numerous survey sites and any attempts to recover the email have failed since I can't remember the security questions I asked. Have you ever lost an email address or a website due to inability to recover your particulars?

Many times.. i forgot password and when tried to forgot password option it reacted like the id is not exist..

I have but not for a long time. I have two googlemail email ads and one hotmail. I don't lose the addresses but often forget the passwords. Luckily there is usually an option to recover a forgotten password.

Yes, I can't recover my Amazon US account security details. I'd only ever used my laptop to access the account when one day I went to log in when I was asked for all sorts of security details because apparently I'd logged in from another device other the one they recognised. Everything I gave was deemed incorrect even though it was correct. In the end I gave up because in all honesty, I never did use it that much. My principal account is with Amazon UK and I'm quite all right with just that one.

Lost free email ids with Indian ISPs like vsnl, eth because the isp did not provide any way to renew the email ids, due to poor systems

I did at one time and I can tell you that it wasent a very good thing for me. It was quite hard to recover it so all I did was to start all over again. Even though I lost most of my contacts. But somehow I was able to get them back slowly

I did lose one of my old accounts. I hadn't logged into for some time, but it wasn't closed down, which surprised me. I tried to log in but couldn't get past the security questions. I always hated answering those, so I picked the pet question and made up wild names. I guess doing that ended up backfiring on me, lol.

At least it was just my spam collecting account that I used for signing up for things, and it was easy enough to make a new one.

My old hotmail addresses were supposedly compromised, I don't have enough information to get back in and the recovery addresses for them both were each other. :/ There's a few little sites I can't get back my old accounts for because of being locked out.

I am not sure if Earthlink is still working today. When it was, I forgot my password and did bother to retrieve it but wasn't successful. So I stick with my Yahoo email then eventually created a Gmail account. From then on I never forgot my password.

Yes I once lost an email address. What happened was I forgot my secret question and answer, the email wasn't linked to my phone. I tried all I could but I couldn't get it back. It wasn't my main email thhough

It happened to me too. I forgot the password of the first ever email address I made and same with the second one. I tried to retrieve my second one but to no avail. I had forgotten the password of it and the answers to the security questions. It made me sad but I had to let it go.

So far I haven't lost an email address. I wrote down all my passwords on a piece of paper then I make sure the security questions are familiar to me so I could answer them right away.

I don't think I have actually lost an email address, only the password and I've usually managed to sort that out.

Actually I do have a Tiscali email somewhere because I joined them before they were taken over by TalkTalk and I really can't remember what it is.

I did. Once, I wasn't online for quite a while, and I didn't check a secondary email for a long time. Some providers will shut it down if you leave it dormant too long.

You should be able to reset your password and get back in (I've done that numerous times).

Oh yes I did. At least 5 or 6 when I just started with online jobs. Sometimes I saved it, sometimes I don't and after some time I forgot it.
