Power Banks

Postby ruthmongare » 25 Nov 2017, 16:20

Powebanks are always our help whenever we cannot access electricity at that very moment but I think they do destroy the phone batteries considering the pace at which they charge and in case we charge our phones oftenly using power banks. Would you recommend the use of power banks.

Yes of course, because it gives life to our drained battery especially if we are traveling.

I think that a power bank that destroys the phonr battery is the one that isnt quite certified. Powerbanks are very useful back here especially if you travel to remote areas quite often.

I have two of them that I keep charged at all times. They have a home in my purse with a spare charging cord. They have both come in handy numerous times.

I'd advise someone to have a power-bank at hand, especially if travelling to an area with unreliable power supply.

Like all electronic gadgets, power-banks would have their fair share of demerits.
However, for convenience, I'd disregard such disadvantages.

Yes, they are very usefull, aswell as Musati said. Check your local certification logos, for me they are CE and QMI, they differ from continent an country however.
Those are the ones built to cause less damage possible, yes they will because the voltage while written as 5 it's ussually 3.7 due to how they are built and as their intented use is indeed for emergencies and not for playing PoGo longer or use it as your main charge.

I definitely recommend the use of power banks. They're so convenient especially when you can't find a place to charge your phone. I used to have an old battery that would die frequently. I could only keep my phone alive with my power bank. I have multiple power banks, but my favorite one is the one from Anker. It works the best.

I have 3 on rotation in my car and in my bag charging up while I run a tai chi or meditation class. Always handy to have a spare on 80% charge knocking about.

I also have a mega one for boosting my car battery!

Use powerbanks for emergency charging only. If you don't have an outlet to charge your phones, use powerbanks. As much as possible charge your phones in regular power outlets. I've heard that it could damage your phone when you use powerbanks very often.

Power banks are especially useful, if you run out of battery, where you are isolated, don't have an outlet near you, or are in a foreign country.

I think powerbanks have become more of a symbol of 'sophistication' than anything else.
This is especially so in my city where people who have 8-5 jobs usually carry power-banks to work.
