Both of my mom and dad can use social media. My mother have a Facebook account and she made one for my dad but she is the one that uses it. My mom uses a smart phone and she loves playing Zuma and Candy crush. My dad is allergic to smartphones, He refuses to touch them and still prefers using a laptop and his 18 year old Nokia phone. Whenever his Nokia Phone gets broken, he will rather spend thousands to repair it than buy a new one.


My dad still uses emails. He can't understand social media no matter how hard I explain it to him. He also hates games, he thinks Satan created them to make people forget God.

My parents are very bad with technology and except TV and old phones they don't use anything else.

Some years ago my mom and dad hated new technology like computers and phones, but nowadays things had changed a lot... they discovered the internet, more specifically the youtube Now they spend hours seeing videos about other contries, mainly Brazil because they speak the same language... portuguese

My mom is 84 years old and technology is a huge headache to her, she learns how to use it but it takes some time for her to deal with it.

My mom is still using her old keypad cellphone while my dad already abandoned his cellphone years ago.

I'm the parent now and I have always tried to keep up with technology. But if I'm being honest, I let some of it leave me behind. My husband doesn't even try to keep up. He only tries if you force him. But once he sees that it is not difficult, then he will give it a try. But if something breaks or goes wrong ... he swears it's a conspiracy! "Somebody out there" is out to get him!

My parents are using technology but not as much as I do. Obviously it is somewhat difficult for them to understand every technology but they are trying it.

My parents are obsolete in gadget. They don't know how to use android phone even you hardly teach them they can't go with. They will always say that they are old and they don't need it.

I'm 67 and spend a lot of time on the internet on my desktop, laptop and smartphone. I have a facebook account and spend hours on reward sites so I guess I'm ok for my age. I often have to sort out my 11 year old granddaughter's internet problems. My mum wouldn't have had a clue though as she had dementia in later life and the internet was only just beginning when my dad died.

My mom had to learn how to use the internet because it was her primary means to communicate with most of the people within our circle. My dad, never had the interest to learn how to use a computer.

I don't think my parents are afraid. Confused is on their minds. Every now and then not only version of gadgets are updating but the features and apps install on a phone or computer.

no, my parents don't like their grandchildren to use new technology especially gaming console or online gaming. they thought that it will distract their studies.

My mom is borrowing my phone to catch up with her friends in facebook. She's even more active than me and likes to chat with them. While my father likes to watch videos of his favorite action star on youtube. He even gets mad when we are taking his phone to him because he's already sleeping.

My mom used to be a techie even though she is already 45. she used to use gadgets everyday for communication to her new husband. I don't know my dad if he is still alive if he would be a techie like my mom.
