I do not have a whatsupp connection but see every tom dick and harry owning one. They keep grumbling that they keep getting forwards that mostly include video clips clogging their memory and yet they will not trade it for the whole world.

If you have one would you try and convince me that I should have one too?

Yes, every social media app has its own pros and cons. , we should be able to identify the plus and minu and accordingly go with it

Well, I use Watsapp and to me it is the best to talk with people, much better than messenger because Watsapp encrypts the messages. If you like to talk with friends than I really advise you to use this app essentially due to the privacy questions.

It would have been nice if one could be selective about blocking media as blocking media completely may not be a good idea And manually deleting I am told needs time which is precious. I am more for real contacts and in fact I have stopped interaction on FB for the same. reason.

I used to be a talker in days gone by but not any more. I prefer real contacts like in the great old days and this virtual happening has stopped all that.

You seem fully in favour. My phone is basic and so I will have to go for a new mobile. Actually this thing about keeping in touch with the world at large honestly this eagerness to keep connected I notice is dwindling in my circle.

I have a long list of my friends and family members living in different parts of the world and WhatsApp provides me the facility to talk to them and stay in touch, send photos instantly on almost no expenses. By the way, I never add on this facility whom I do not know personally or how they behave online. I do not add even my casual friends or coworkers on WhatsApp. You know Indian Telco companies are giving enough data for a very low rate beside this facility consumes very less mobile data so it's not expensive.

In the past I interacted a lot but I realised the real world was getting converted to the virtual world. I have withdrawn and hope my real world will be back in place. Just opposite to my house I have a neighbour. She will send me messages on FB but not greet me in person.

I would rather have the freedom to choose what I want to read and for this there is the search engine I am told friends keep sending clips that they find interesting clogging mobile memory.

Though Whatsapp is good to keep in touch with friends, realtives and family members globally. But the bulk of videos I get from various members make me sick as they really occupy lot of space in my memory Card ! That is why I delete lot of videos from time to time!

WhatsApp is a a very popular social networking app. I am on it and I check it several times in a day. Helps me to stay connected to friends and family across the globe. I like the free features like voice calls and video calls. I use them more than my regular phone calls as they are economical.
You have to keep clearing the videos and photo messages on a daily basis to keep your memory free.

It's not so long ago since I started using it and I don't regret it. It keeps me in contact with friends and family all across the world, with whom it would otherwise be difficult to stay in touch with. I can now talk to whomever, as though they were just next door. I used to use Skype in this manner but not many of my contacts were using it so I downloaded Whatsapp where everyone else was. There have been occasions when I gave my number to new contacts and suddenly every hour of the day it's another video from them. I usually just delete the videos same time without watching them. If the person becomes more annoying, I delete their number from my list of contacts. For the most part it is a useful tool for staying in touch and I would recommend it.

I am a big fan of WhatsApp and I prefer it to other social media sites. I have been using it for long and the benefits have been more than the demerits.
