Postby A K Rao » 12 Sep 2018, 04:28

I heard that it is not healthy to keep head phone near our head or near our pillow while we are sleeping. But I have seen many people doing so. Personally I don't like to keep my mobile phone with me while sleeping! How abour you, where do you keep your mobile phone while sleeping?

If I am at home, I turn it off at 10:00 p.m. and open again tomorrow at 6 a.m. If I am out of town, traveled, or having seminars, I keep my phone on 24 hours but I placed it 1 meter away from bed. I heard and believed that keeping the phone on at midnight has a high release of radiation. We know that radiation can cause cancer.

Aren't you afraid of the dangerous radiation we are likely to get from the mobile phone while you are sleeping? It is strictly advised not to keep your mobile phone in your shirt pocket as it can have adverse effects on Heart and similarly it is advised not to keep it in pant's pocket as it can have harmful effects on your genitalia. A step further now a days it is advised to talk by using head phones if the conversation is too long to avoid the radiation to the brain while keeping the phone near the ear! In my opinion you shouldn't be doing this and kindly change the habit! Thanks!

I don't have it on my pillow but I have it in arms reach. I am on call 24/7/365 and I always need to have it on just in case I get a phone call from my boss or one of my kids. If My kids call me I know its an emergency. They will text me a message some times but I can call then back or text them the next day :)

I sleep with my face on top of it. :D I was listening to some audiobook and I end up having my face shoved on the smartphone because the boringness of audiobooks makes me sleep like I was in a coma.

I used to keep it near my head while sleeping few years back. I used to set an alarm to wake me up in the morning in my mobile. But stopped doing that after reading a few articles about harmful radiations from our mobiles. It's always good to be safe in this regard.

Keeping the phone near my head while sleeping? Oh no, this is a thing I have never done not even tried. I once read a story of a woman whom the phone burnt after the battery busted as she was asleep with headsets on. For the sake of my own life and others, I can't dare put phones near me while asleep.

Earlier I was doing this. Yet later on, when awareness ame to me, I now place it on a chair or small table some distance away. And yes the alarm does wakes me up on the weekdays.

That is good , If by keeping the phone away from you , you are getting up with the alarm, why to keep the phone near your head and getting exposed to unnecessary dangerous radiations?

Yes, I do. And every gadget or appliance we use emits some radiation anyways.

I keep my phone close to me when I go to sleep and never bother about side effects. I will certainly find out the if anything is actually wrong with that.
