Finland is not a big country but they know their population will grow soon. So with the help technology, the country that created Nokia phones is building an underground city so they will have extra space for the new generation. The underground cities won't feel like you are underground because the ceilings will have projectors that shows live stream of the sky. So you can see the sun, the moon and the stars. Finland doesn't have volcanic activities so they don't have issues with Earthquakes. People who doesn't like the cold weather of Finland, will feel warmer on these underground cities.

Yeah it can be used as a fallout shelter too. The underground cities are going to have multiple floors. They only have a single floor at this moment.

Since natural disasters are more often and travel in space is not possible yet (at least not for big population) I think soon we will see this towns. Temperature is already higher then before so we need to hide ourself from Sun.

I think Finland have the audacity to do this because they don't have volcanic activities and they dont have high intensity earthquakes. It will not work for Pacific ring of fire countries.

You know basements of malls and mining sites are underground and people there can breathe.

Somebody would rather make Underground City in middle of desert than in Pacific ring.

The pacific ring countries have volcanoes and earthquakes. They are not even allowed to have 100 floor buildings but many of them are stubborn.

I think we still can't produce air artificial but ti would probably have some garden.

There are now buildings with multiple floor basements and they don't seem to have air issues.

Quite futuristic. I would miss fresh air and the sight of Trees, and squirrels and birds on the tree. But someday, we won't be left with many options, the way our environment is getting degraded.

To be honest, I would only live in a place like this only if I didn't have another solution
I love the sun, the wind, the nature... but if was really necessary and a question of surviving I would live in a place like that!

If your country have volcanoes and earthquakes, Your region wont be qualified to have one.

No. I do prefer living in a natural environment, been able to receive natural bliss.

Finland is a super cold country and the underground city is suppose to be warmer, so I have a feeling people sick of winter may choose it.

I will still persist with a natural environment to underground as there is no means to experience nature from there because most things to be used there are artificial substitute.
