Can we say technology ruined music

Postby Netherrealmer » 02 Sep 2019, 19:32

Autotune and music played by computer synthesized music. No melody and she is just talking and it is not even rap. It is just talking. This is the number song in the billboard right now.

:| :|

People also thinks this trippy music video is super creative as it is super viral. This is the number song, so enhanced by technology and barely has singing. Whatever happen to you know singing with actual melody? if I posted this in Social media I will be on the Assassination list on 14 year old girls but there are no 14 year old girls here so I need to express how much I hate songs enhanced with autotune technology.

Meanwhile iN Japan an AI CGI projector who is 100% computer and has no human voice is also a popular singer....

Are those real people in the crowd screaming for the CGI? :lolno: But yeah, I think authentic musicians will say yes. Auto tune (and such) is like a pet peeve to some of them.

This is true. Technology is ruining music, that's why I love listening to old music.

Yes people are crazy to meet her when she is a stinking hologram. One guy even wanted to marry her.

It did cross my mind that someone might want to get personal with her and that's no joke, lol. Lately there has been more reports like that.

You've got to listen to the music AI has come up with. to really understand how technology is ruining music.
However, I feel that the lyrics these days are mostly meaningless. The songs are mostly mix and matches from others songs and there is more noise than music.

.

That guy must be an alien. :D . I still love to swoon onto music made in the '70s or '80s,digitally synthesized music can never beat the original vocal chords of humans to a music affocianado.

I agree that singers use AI software but it is not all of them. So of them uses technology to improve the background of their song video

Majority of American singers on the chart cant sing and relies too much on autotune. The ones who can sing barely use melodies on their song and uses computer beats instead.

I actually don't mind that style of music. Also, not to mention, music is an art....folks are allowed to create music that they think sounds good to them and then if it takes off great if it doesn't then...oops guess it wasn't actually good. It's called artistic license.

If you don't like it find a different genre

I never really liked "techno music" (I think that's what it's called.) But I thought it was just because I came from another generation.

I suppose I am just old fashioned. I have my own collection of old time favorites that I listen to, and although I never listen to the radio, I have listened to old time collections from many other countries via youtube. I have stumbled over more recent "music" on youtube but change videos long before the end of the selection.

I simply don't consider rap or anything beyond that as music at all. Its just a lot of angry noise. I feel sorry for the younger generation who is absorbed by the current crapola. They don't even know what real music is.

I just wish songs with melodies will exist again in the charts. Billie Eilish' music doesn't sound like music. She is doing whispering and talking. that is not singing. her songs are nothing but electronic beats.

Yes DJ's not only abuses technology but uses old songs to make new songs.

Sometimes they do what's called 'splicing' too, where they take bits and pieces of one person's song/words and mix it with another's. People get upset over this because often it's done without permission and some find it insulting.

I would have to whole heatedly disagree. "real" music is not existent. I understand what you mean by "real" music though. You like straight instruments and straight voices with as little tech involved as possible. However, to say that techno music, rap, rock and role and dubstep aren't under the "real" music umbrella is completely asinine to me.

You are entitled to your own opinion of course but I certainly disagree with it. Music is a series of sounds aligned together to make a certain type of music. Some folks enjoy louder and more chaotic music than others but those artists (usually) put a lot of time and effort into the sound they are producing.
