New way to take notes!

Postby Allius » 24 Jun 2015, 13:23

Reading a magazine I found this smart pen:

Image

- Record everything you hear, say and write, while linking your audio recordings to your notes.
- Replay audio directly from paper by tapping on your notes
- Echo Desktop software allows you to save, organize and play back interactive notes from your Mac or Windows computer.
- Share notes and pencasts as images.

What do you think about this? Is it useful? Have you ever used?

That is seriously cool. I can see this being abused as stated above, but it's a great idea...Definitely convenient!

In modern schools you need to turn off even watches due the modern technology (applewatch, samsung smartwatches) to prevent cheating so this will be next what will be forbidden.

If enough people start using the smartpens should begin to be banned is schools (especially the exams). But for now, they will go unnoticed? ;)

That´s the same as with phones. Nobody cared about phones when started the big "boom" with phones. Now it´s hardly forbidden during exams.

You're quite right! That is exactly what will happen if there is a lot of people use this type of pens. But to be honest, they are not designed for use in exams lolol

Really I don't see a big use of this thing.

I appriciate the work that they have put for making this but in schools this is going to be forbidden as many of you said.

It's better for us to study and focus on our knoweldge instead of trying to cheat with smart pens :D

The number of new tech devices is increasing everyday.

I saw something similar not too long ago. I posted about it on another site. Most people said it wouldn't be worthwhile and would probably be expensive. I don't know. I still thought it was a pretty cool idea.

That said, I don't know how expensive it is either.

I thought it was cool, however if you want to note something big or topics, the pen will take a lot to read all

Same with calculaters(dont know if its right), now they are like small computers with memory, so some versions wont be allowed in national exams

All my lectures are recorded (video of screen + audio), most lecturers put up fully completed class notes and 50% of courses or so have coursebooks (mostly stage 1 papers) which is like a "fill in the blanks" note taking kind of deal.
Not sure how useful this pen would be...

Everything is coming out in technology. I am surprised they don't have a smart vending machine where you just pay using your online wallet.
