Google has wider coverage. Talking about google, Google has lots of features that other search engines does not have. We have google translate, google search engine, google email (gmail) , google maps, and many more useful tools comparing to other search engines.

I seem to be the odd one out but I have tended to find better results from Bing for many searches.

Depending on how deep your research needs to go, if you don't immediately find what you need on your regular search engine (whether you use Google or Bing) I definitely recommend trying your search on the other. You will be surprised that you may find different results.

That would be my guess. I might start using it myself, just for that reason. Others have noted that it's set as the default on most computers. That's probably where a lot of their "popularity" comes from as well...

Google beats any search engine around the world except in China (where google is blocked )... So back there, foreigners use Bing or Yahoo (since Duckduckgo is also blocked).

I don't really like bing, in USA people use it because of the bing reward, but for me I think google is much better and faster since there is no bing rewards in my country lol

As a web developer. I find it easy to use Google API's to implement, since there are too many people on the google community. I do use some Bing's API only for the map (geolocation) which i didnt find in google.

I always use Google because i never heard about Bing until i see this thread. Few years back i was working in a site called Mylot.com. They also introduced search option for their site and offering some money for the users anywhere between $ 0.05 to $0.24 but not for each search . Then they removed the search option and now it is just used as a social site with no earning.

I remember you can earn money for using bing in some countries. As search engine, I use google which doesnt work with IPv6, I have no idea why.

When you make a new bing rewards account I heard that there's a banner somewhere on the page about Amazon gift cards. You are suppose to get a free $5 Amazon gift card code when you first log in. But only the first time, and when you click away it's gone. Can someone verify this?
