I've been looking to know how to create an application video on a testing site. I'll have to check LibreOffice Impress and try it out. It may offer me the solution I need.

I have an active Youtube account but I don't really post a lot on it, I used to post wrestling videos a few years ago but I got copyright striken so I just stopped. I got a few thousand of views though!

All it takes is to visit YouTube to learn how to use it for a slide show:
https://www.youtube.com/results?search_ ... slide+show

Then export the slides as images and import them into Windows Movie Maker. You can add a sound track for narration made with Audacity (another free program).

As an example, here's one I made https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFSbNuQodE0

I have a monetized channel and I post a lot of Asian red light district material. I make about $5 usd a day on views. It's been about a month so I'm hopeing it picks up as the subscribers start to roll in. It's working for the time being and am very optimistic about it all.

I first created my YouTube account so that I could share a video of some birds that were living in my garden several years ago. For a long time I only had that video and one other of the same family a year later. More recently I've added a video of a beautiful grasshopper on one of my bonsai trees as well as a time-lapse of a storm, but mainly I'm using it to show views of my bonsai trees to include with my blog posts. I wish I had the imagination to create better videos. Maybe one day.

You need to find the best niche no matter what you try to earn money online. The real point is you can't earn anything from YouTube, you simply use them to get traffic so you can earn from other methods (like AdSense).

I have 3 channels but only post to one right now. The other 2 channels are old and outdated but still live. One is for World of Warcraft gold farming and the other is decor ideas. I wish I could get motivated in both of those channels the decor one seemed like a easy niche to get views in and the gamine one well it was too sometimes. Aside from that though I mainly use Youtube as a way to get traffic to my blog or to find stuff to share on Twitter with my followers.

It's cool the way YouTube allows you to share on Twitter and show it as an image to get more recognition.

I didn't know that. I guess I should try sharing one of my old videos on Twitter to see if it helps me. Unfortunately I don't have a huge amount of followers.

Since you have many people using this account, why don't you encourage either your hubby of your children to develop the habit of posting videos? Who knows, perhaps you can earn from such posts in the long run.

What you need to do is bring up that video on YouTube, then under the video click Share and select the Twitter symbol. You can share other people's videos this way too.

Mine isn't technically active, I am planning to start posting videos, they will mainly be a mix match of different topics
Most of them will be tech related probably though.

I tried that and I think it brought me a few extra views but no additional income. I think I'll try sharing some other bonsai-related videos that way to see if it helps get me a few extra followers. Thanks for the suggestion.

Extra views are what it takes to get extra income, but you need to play your cards right.

There are complete ebooks and courses written on this topic, so it's hard to answer in a simple forum post. The main point is to put yourself in your visitors shoes and determine what it would take to get you to take action on your offer. It very well may take a complete sales funnel and not just a quick knee jerk reaction.

If you send them to a page with some pie in the sky promise and ask for their name and email (or even more), it's not likely you will ever reach your goal, but if you can lead them along with real value and solve a problem for them, your odds go way up.

Thanks @oldbuddy. I'm not making videos that sell anything though, just ones that I can use in my blog, so I guess I really am dependant on views.
