It is annoying and irritating indeed. But the site that is using that has the valid reason for putting up a captcha for every user or visitor who is visiting the site. What I only regret or have a reservation is the site which only requires to comment or to give a reaction to the post. Why is it using that? A bot could do that. What is your point of view on this?

This is one way of nuisance. Another way some sites do is keep on supplying image boards and asking us to click once on roads then on signals then on cars...and the headache continues.

Even otherwise solving captchas for money is not worth it. I came across a site which offered 32 cents for solving 1000 captchas. Is it worth our time?

Nothing. It is just to know that whoever is trying to do something is a 'human' and not a 'bot' or a machine. But for that 'once ' is enough. Why do they upload so many images especially in the case of captchas where users are compelled click so many images window after window. It is nothing but a sheer madness.

Haha! :) you had me at the title Captcha Menace. True. Those little boxes can be irritating. Especially if you can't see if it's number one or letter I.

Indeed. There have been studies showing bots could decipher some captchas better than how humans did. Some captchas are definitely pointless! But now we have reCaptcha, clicking on roads for a full minute to prove I'm human, yay!

Captcha stops spam bots right? But I've encountered so many spam bots on sites with captchas anyways! How does that work? Is there a problem-solving algorithm then?

I mean the sites that pay you to solve them. What are they doing with them? Hmm.

I hate those ones too, with all the street signs or click boxes with cars, etc. It just seems to keep going and going. I have a problem reading some of the others, so I have to keep refreshing. I don't mind doing one that's simple, just don't keep wasting my time.
